Golden Tree

In this art class, students are exploring mixed media techniques by incorporating hot glue,
wall spackling paste, and acrylic paint into their projects.
This innovative approach allows them to create textured and dynamic compositions.
For instance, hot glue can be used to build intricate patterns or add three-dimensional
elements to the artwork. Wall spackling paste provides a unique base texture,
enabling students to sculpt and mold their surfaces before applying color. Finally,
acrylic paint brings everything together,
offering vibrant hues and the ability to layer and blend seamlessly.
This combination of materials encourages creativity and experimentation,
resulting in stunning, multi-faceted art pieces, much like the one shown in the image.

Abstract Nautical Sailboats

Today we learned about watercolor resistance techniques
which are essential skills for artists to create dynamic and layered
effects in their paintings.
Common resistance materials include masking fluid, wax, oil pastels
which are applied to the paper .
This method can produce striking contrasts and add depth and
complexity to the artwork. In an art lesson focused on these techniques,
students would learn how to effectively use this resist materials,
understand the drying times, and explore creative ways to
integrate resist patterns into their compositions,
as seen in the captivating illustration featuring
sailboats and celestial elements in vibrant blue and yellow hues.

Lovely Jellyfish

Today we utilizes the watercolor wet-on-wet technique,
a popular method for creating soft,
blended effects and vibrant color transitions. In this technique,
we first wet the paper with clean water before applying watercolor paint.
This allows the colors to spread and merge smoothly,
producing natural gradients and soft edges.

This technique requires careful control of water and pigment,
as well as a keen eye for color harmony and balance..
The dark background contrasts sharply with the vivid hues of the jellyfish,
making the colors pop and adding depth to the composition.
This piece demonstrates the use of color theory and
contrast to create a striking visual impact,
while the organic shapes and patterns evoke a sense of
the natural beauty found in the ocean.
