Today we learned about watercolor resistance techniques
which are essential skills for artists to create dynamic and layered
effects in their paintings.
Common resistance materials include masking fluid, wax, oil pastels
which are applied to the paper .
This method can produce striking contrasts and add depth and
complexity to the artwork. In an art lesson focused on these techniques,
students would learn how to effectively use this resist materials,
understand the drying times, and explore creative ways to
integrate resist patterns into their compositions,
as seen in the captivating illustration featuring
sailboats and celestial elements in vibrant blue and yellow hues.
