This week, our young artists will explore Picasso-inspired art! They will create a fun, colorful face using different shapes, colors, and playful features. Children will learn that faces don’t always have to look realistic and can be arranged in creative and imaginative ways.
ASP
This week, our after school program students explored the theme “Lovely Bird on a Rainy Day.” Students practiced sketching from a reference picture focusing on the bird’s shape, proportions, feathers, branches, and berries.
They used oil pastels to build layers of color, practice shading and blending, and add highlights and small details. Students also explored soft, muted colors to create a calm and rainy-day atmosphere. This project helped strengthen their observation skills, drawing techniques, and confidence in using color and texture to create a finished artwork.
