Turkey Craft

PS and PK-

This two weeks, our young artists explored modeling clay art by creating adorable turkeys to celebrate the fall season! Through this hands-on activity, children ages 3–5 practiced important fine motor skills by rolling, pressing, and shaping the clay. They also developed hand-eye coordination and creativity while using warm autumn colors—red, orange, and yellow—to design the turkey’s beautiful feathers. This sensory experience encourages self-expression and helps children strengthen their finger muscles, which supports early writing development. It was wonderful to see their excitement and pride as their colorful turkeys came to life!

ASP-

ASP Students created this beautiful Thanksgiving-themed clay art to express the spirit of gratitude and creativity! Using modeling clay, they designed colorful turkeys with unique feather patterns and added the words to reflect the meaning of the season. This project encouraged students to explore artistic techniques such as shaping, texturing, and color mixing while also strengthening fine motor control and spatial awareness. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to express what they’re thankful for through art, combining creativity with emotional learning and seasonal celebration.

We will continue using acrylic paints to complete the artworks next week.
