Vivid Dog and Pearl Waterfall Landscape

PS and PK

This week, our young artists created a playful puppy inspired by geometric art! They explored simple shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles, and curved lines to build the dog’s face and body. Children practiced drawing different patterns, filling each section with bright colors and creative designs. This project helped develop shape recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity while introducing the idea that many small shapes can come together to create one fun picture. We are so proud of their imagination and careful work!

This week, our 6–11-year-old students explored mixed-media art by creating a beautiful waterfall scene using pearls and decorative beads. Students learned how to arrange different sizes of beads to create texture, movement, and depth while designing flowing water, trees, and natural landscapes. This hands-on project strengthened fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and creative problem-solving as students carefully planned and placed each element. Students will continue adding details and complete their bead artwork next week.
