Lovely Koala & Texture Butterflies Art

Lovely Koalas – PS & PK Art Class

This week, our PS and PK artists explored the adorable world of “Lovely Koalas”! Inspired by these sweet koalas cuddling together on a tree branch, the children practiced drawing simple shapes, creating cute facial features, and adding soft colors and leafy details. Through this fun project, they developed their fine motor skills, practiced color recognition, and used their imagination to create their own lovely koala artwork. We had a wonderful time bringing these cuddly little friends to life!

Rainbow Art – ASP (Ages 6–11): Textured Butterfly Art

This week, our ASP students continued exploring Textured Butterfly Art using modeling clay and acrylic paints. Students shaped the clay to create raised butterfly wings, carefully adding lines and details to give their artwork a beautiful three-dimensional texture.

They painted the butterflies in elegant white and gold against a dark background, creating a striking contrast that makes each butterfly stand out. Students also experimented with swirling patterns and textured brushstrokes to add depth, movement, and visual interest to their compositions.

Through this project, students are developing their fine motor skills, patience, and understanding of texture, contrast, color, and three-dimensional art. Each student’s creation reflects their creativity and individual artistic style.

We will continue working on this project next week as students refine their details and bring their beautiful butterfly masterpieces closer to completion. We can’t wait to see the finished artwork!
