PS and PK
In our art class for ages 3–5, children created these textured mini bucket artworks using paint and clay. They explored brushing and blending colors to make beautiful backgrounds, which helped develop hand control and coordination. Adding clay shapes and dots allowed students to practice rolling, pressing, and placing, strengthening fine motor skills and finger muscles. This activity also encouraged creativity, pattern making, and sensory exploration as children felt different textures. Students enjoyed making their own design choices and felt proud turning simple materials into a unique art piece.

This week, our young artists (ages 6-11) explored the wonderful world of mixed-media sculpture by transforming everyday objects into meaningful works of art. Using simple metal buckets as their "canvas," students used air-dry clay to create raised, tactile figures that celebrate human connection and movement. You can see the energy in their work through the gold-painted figures reaching upward and supporting one another, symbolizing community, friendship, and joy.
