Explored Ship

PS and PK

This week, our 3–5-year-old artists created a beautiful sailboat collage using mixed media materials. Children practiced cutting, gluing, and assembling shapes to form the boat, sails, and ocean waves. They explored texture by using yarn for the ropes and rolled paper for the sails, which helped strengthen fine-motor skills while encouraging creativity. Through this project, students also learned to recognize basic shapes, follow simple steps, and express their imagination as they built their own sailboat scene. It was a fun hands-on activity that supported both artistic expression and early developmental skills.

This week, our 6–10-year-old students created vibrant sailboat artworks inspired by expressive color and movement. Using oil pastels, they learned blending, layering, and shading techniques to create glowing skies and reflective water. Students practiced drawing clean shapes for the boats and experimented with bold color patterns on the sails to show personality and design. This project encouraged creativity while strengthening artistic skills such as composition, contrast, and color harmony. Each student’s work beautifully showcases their growing confidence and imagination in art.

There are still many details for students to complete, so they were not able to finish today. We will continue working on this project in the next class.
