PS&PK-
At this stage, children enjoy exploring colors, shapes, and textures rather than focusing on perfect details. Using materials like crayons, pastels, or finger paints, educators can encourage little learners to experiment with different techniques. Simple themes like animals, nature, and everyday objects help them relate to their artwork, making the learning process engaging and fun. Most importantly, art activities should focus on the joy of creation rather than the final product, fostering confidence and a lifelong love for artistic expression.
ASP-
This week, we explored the theme of lions and introduced ASP students to basic sketching techniques. Using sketch and charcoal pencils, we focused on shading, blending, and creating texture to bring the lion’s face to life. Students practiced drawing symmetrical features and capturing the details of the mane to add depth and realism. This activity helped develop their fine motor skills, observation, and artistic confidence while allowing them to express their creativity through sketching.
